Village Team

Hi, my name is Joss. My pronouns are she/they. I am a high school student in the Raleigh area. I am thrilled to be a part of It Takes a Village as it brings everything that gives me joy under one roof: reading, being part of a community, and helping others. 

When I am not curled up with my tortoiseshell cat reading my favorite fantasy or romance books, you’ll find me in my school theatre department's light booth. As the light crew head, I love being part of a community where I can shine the light on others. I am also the pivot on my Roller Derby team through Raleigh Jr. Rollers where my pivot role is to  project my jammer and communicate with my team- Go Ravens! I don’t get to do it as often, but I love diving.  I have held my SCUBA diving certificate since I was 10 years old. I mainly dive in  the local quarry or off the coast of NC. Recently, I have obtained my Rescue Diver certificate. Diving reminds me to breathe. 

I look forward to meeting everyone that walks into It Takes A Village.
